C3 Church Hibiscus Coast COVID-19 Strategy

Please note this is a fast-changing situation and strategies may change at any time. We will inform you with any changes. The government has announced a ban on indoor gatherings of more than 100 people to help stop the spread of Covid-19. On average our Sunday attendance is less than 100 people, therefore at this stage we will continue to meet in person.

We wish to keep services at C3 HBC going as long as is possible. If at any point we do have to stop services temporarily, we will post regular devotions, messages of encouragement and so on as we can.

Remember to: Trust God, pray, maintain good hygiene, read/listen to trustworthy communication, and be mindful of social distancing.

At Church meetings/events please:

  • Be kind to one another.

  • Be mindful of how you greet others. Please, no handshakes, hugs, hongi, or kisses.

  • Sign in at the door with your name + contact details. This is part of our communication plan

and will assist us if we need to update attendees of a particular meeting.

  • Give yourself space when sitting in church.

  • Please wash your hands well with soap and water for at least 20 seconds:

    • after using the toilet

    • after coughing, sneezing, blowing your nose or wiping children’s noses, etc.

    • after touching public surfaces

  • Hand gel bottles will be available in the kitchen areas, as well as soap and hand towels.

  • Don’t come to church if you are unwell. Let us know and we will keep in touch. If you need to

cough or sneeze, do so into disposable tissues, or into your elbow – discard tissues immediately.

FYI: We will not be conducting communion until further notice. There will be no food served at the conclusion of services. At this stage Preservice coffee is still happening.

We recommend checking the Ministry of Health website https://www.health.govt.nz/our- work/diseases-and-conditions/covid-19-novel-coronavirus or https://covid19.govt.nz/ for up to date information and for ways to keep yourself safe.

“For every hand that we don’t shake must become a phone call that we place. Every embrace that we avoid must become a verbal expression of warmth and concern. Every inch and every foot that we physically place between ourselves and another, must become a thought as to how we might be of help to that other.”
